Step 1
Summer is officially here! If you’ve got school-age kids it means they’re either already home for the summer or wrapping up their very last days.
For me, my youngest son is graduating from college in three days. I can hardly believe it. How the years have flown by!
This summer, the posts on my blog will be all about our Alphabet Book Adventure. Scattered here and there will be interviews with various authors and editors. But the main focus of my blog for the next three months until Labor Day will be all about the ABCs of writing alphabet books.
First of all, to begin our Alphabet Book Adventure, I’d like to invite you on a treasure hunt! The treasure? Names of publishers! The first step I take for writing an alphabet book is to find the names of publishers who are currently publishing them.
There are different paths to take. Head down the one that best suits your personality and lifestyle.
You can search on the computer if you’re the techie type.
You can go to your favorite bookstore if you’re the kind who likes to hang out in the overstuffed chairs reading all the new books for free.
You can browse through the shelves of your favorite library if you are the type who likes to check out books and bring them home to peruse.
Whichever your method, our Alphabet Book Adventure is officially ON. In the next couple of posts, I’ll give tips to help you as you search for publishers of ABC books.
Okay, are you ready? On your mark, get set, go! It’s time to have a grand adventure!

Dear Nancy,
First of all, hearty congrats on your son’s graduation. I understand your level of excitement. Today is my daughter’s last day of school and she is going to be already a III grader. I agree with you that time flies so fast.
Thanks for sharing the tips of ABC adventure. It’s a good idea to explore the world of relevant publishers. You wrote that you’ll be including the links of publishers or the links through which we can research for good publishers. That’s will be great help for the newbies like me.
Thanks for all your support and help.
Regards
Priya
