A new tradition was started at my critique group this past week. One of the gals brought a trophy and presented it to a member who had just landed a contract for a picture book we critiqued at our last meeting.
We shared our joy and our congratulations along with the delightful instructions that when the next person in our group signs a contract, the trophy will be presented to her.
Critique groups are a wonderful place of encouragement! What are you doing in yours to encourage each other? If nothing, get a trophy to share. It brings instant smiles and produces encouraged hearts.

We Mudskippers celebrate contracts with publishers or agents with a sparkly tiara, a magic wand, and chocolate cake.
Blessings,
Jean Hall
