Want to get inspired to be a writer? Just watch this Youtube video of kids getting excited about books. Even though these students are holding novels, this video inspires me to keep working on my picture books, too. After all, picture books are the first opportunity children have to fall in love with reading and books!
Enjoy!

I saw this a while back and loved it. It was fun to watch it again.

That is so cute, Nancy! That’s a great incentive to keep fanning the flames of the spark that got our story ideas started! Kids need good literature more than ever as their attentions are being challenged by video games, social media, tv, etc. Thanks, that really inspired me!

Thirty years ago, I fell in love with the children’s book “The Book of Giant Stories” and its one that motivated me to be a writer too. Then, revisiting his author blog, found David L. Harrison posted a commentary on my septet “I Wonder Where We Are”. So excited!
Without this challenge to read award winning children’s books, I would have never found the courage to let the author know how much the book changed my life. And I have no doubt many children are inspired by your books. I know your guidance has improved my work! Thank you Nancy!
