The month of March is the official month each year that one of my crtique groups hosts the Book In A Month Club! It’s crazy, it’s zany, and it’s fun!
For the Book In A Month Club in March 2008, I shared the step-by-step method I take to write a picture book. If you’ve ever wanted to write a picture book or find out how to write one that is targeted specifically to a publisher, I invite you to hop on board and learn how.
Anyone can join the club. All you have to do is write the first draft of an original book manuscript from beginning to end in just one month. And if March isn’t a good month for you to do this, any month will do!

And if you want to have even more fun, for the Book In A Month Club in March, 2009, I shared tips and strategies to send out queries and try to land a book contract–all in one month.
(Oh, and didn’t my son Ben do an awesome job with the picture and logo for the club? He also did some of the graphics on my website!)
