From October 5 to October 16, 2009 here on my blog, we celebrated the release of my book, Yes! You Can Learn How to Write Children’s Books, Get Them Published, and Build a Successful Writing Career, by hosting a Virtual Book Tour.

Now you and your critique group can follow along with the tour today! Just click on the link to the first day and follow the links for the next two weeks. Each day, there’s a free download to use with my book. Plus, there are YouTube videos to watch, writer’s websites to explore, and testimonies about how this book is changing the world for children’s writers–one gal even shares how the strategies in my book helped her land a book contract in just one week!

To find out even more about my book, you can visit its very own website, Yes! You Can.

From February 1 to February 26, 2008, we celebrated the release of my newest picture book, D is for Drinking Gourd: An African American Alphabet by hosting a Virtual Book Tour in conjunction with Black History Month. Teachers and students from schools in different parts of the country participated in this exciting event by sending in questions for special interviews.

If you missed the event, you can still enjoy the tour! Just start by reading the very first day, then progress through the posts day by day.

Teachers, you can share the tour with your students even now! And to make it more personal for them, I invite you to contact me at jeffandnancys@gmail.com. Find out how you can gather questions from your students to send to me for an online interview. I’ll post the interview when it best suits your schedule and dedicate a day on my blog to your students in your school!
