Book In A Month Club: Online Resources

Welcome back to the Book In A Month Club! This year, we’re TRYING to land a book contract, all in one month. As you’re focusing your efforts to connect with publishers who accept queries this month, here are some online resources for you to look into:

Christian Writers’ Marketplace:
Sally Stuart, the guru of Christian marketing, maintains a fantastic blog chock-full of marketing leads and current news in the industry.

Educational Markets for Children’s Writers: This outstanding web source is hosted and maintained by Evelyn Christensen. Check out her great resources for education publishers if you’ve got a background in teaching or a love for providing material for today’s classroom.

JacketFlap: What a great online resource for children’s books. Dig around on this site and take advantage of their lists to help you in your quest.

The Children’s Writing Supersite: Lots of articles, resources, and even a newsletter abound on this site for children’s writers. Have fun exploring their options!

  1. Thank you, Nancy, for mentioning my Educational Markets list to your readers. I hope it proves helpful to them. As you know, I managed to land a contract with one of the publishers on that list (a publisher I hadn’t worked with previously) during the month of March, so there ARE opportunities there.

Best wishes to everybody who’s been participating in the Book in a Month Club. And thank you, Nancy, for hosting it and sharing such a wealth of information.

  2. Thank YOU, Ev, for providing such an outstanding resource of publishers for us all!!! And congratulations again on your new book contract. Clap, clap, whistle!
