You Can Do It!

How’s your manuscript coming along?

It’s so easy to get discouraged as we’re working on a manuscript that I want to take today to encourage you! Keep writing! You can do it!

Don’t give up because you think your manuscript isn’t as good as someone else’s.
Just remember that no one else in the entire universe can write your story exactly the way you write it, so keep on writing!

Don’t give up because life suddenly got too busy and you’ll never finish it in time.
Just remember that every word you type is one step closer to the goal of getting your manuscript finished, so keep on writing!

Don’t give up because you think it will be too hard to get this manuscript published.
Just remember that it’s impossible to get a manuscript published that isn’t even written, so it will be EASIER to get your manuscript published when it’s actually finished, so keep on writing!

You are a writer. You have something important to write. Just keep on writing, because you can do it!

  1. Nancy,

What perfect timing as I continue to work on a manuscript for my critique group that is due tomorrow! On top of that, I have to finish an illustration for a conference that was suppose to be submitted, already.
    You are the best!

    • Thanks, Diane! Writing…illustrating…sounds like you’re enjoying life to its fullest. Smile. Have fun! -Nancy

  2. We have never met, but you had me in mind when you wrote this blog entry. Thanks for the encouragement!

    • Dear Patricia, we must have similar hearts then because this is what I have to tell myself all the time so that I actually sit down and write. I hope you keep on being encouraged! -Nancy
