After the Conference

Another great way to digest all the amazing information you acquire at a conference is to start chatting with your writer friends about it after you get home.

Communicate with other members of your critique groups. (Or start a new group!) Discuss agents, school visits, and other info you learned at a conference. It’s great getting everyone’s opinion and feedback and perspective on these important issues.

Plus, it’s motivational. After we return home from a conference, it’s easy to start feeling like the whole experience was some sort of elusive dream or fairy tale. Connecting with writers friends who are interested in the same topics that piqued your interest at the conference can motivate you to follow through on those thoughts and ideas that dazzled you during the conference.
