OCCWF Conference

Friday and Saturday, Jeff and I drove to the Orange County Christian Writers Fellowship conference…and what a blessing it was!

There were over 250 writers gathered to connect together, learn about writing, and be inspired to take the next step in our writing journeys.

It was so great to meet so many children’s writers as well as other writers who are really seeking God’s will with their writing. Plus, the editors and agents and speakers were amazing.

What a great way to spend a weekend! I feel so jazzed and refreshed to pursue my writing goals and dreams.

Do you have any conferences lined up? Or have you participated in any recently? If there aren’t any in your area or they’re too pricey, search online for free online conferences…and if you already know of these, let us know the URL and we can sign up to join, too!

  1. In February we had Write2Ignite. Jean Matthews Hall and a group of Christian writers present workshops and encouragement to children’s writers. Jean is a real sweetheart.
It was in SC was the only drawback. Wrote a book review of Avery’s Battlefield by one of the attendees, Deanna Klingel, on my blog and my local paper. It’s about one boy’s experience during the Civil War. He was from W. VA so the story of that state’s secession is in the novel also.
    Blessings!

  2. I’m planning on going to the North Texas Christian Writers Conference in September. It will be my first!

    • Oh, hip hip hooray for you, Kathy! I pray you’ll be blessed. -Nancy
