Welcome to My World: Kittens!

This past weekend, we adopted two kittens! We’ve been looking for just the right ones for the past month or so, and we found them both in two different Petsmarts with two different adoption organizations.

Sandman is a boy with orange and white patches. He is 12 weeks old and weighs 2.8 pounds. Pitterpat is a girl Chocolate Point Snowshoe Siamese. She is 10 weeks old and weighs 2.5 pounds.

We’ve never had 2 cats at the same time, so we’re having double the fun! And they’re each so unique, even at this young age. Sandman, typical boy, likes to gulp down his food and then run off to play and climb to the highest couch mountain top. Pitterpat, sweet little girl, likes to finish every little bite of food in her bowl, finish with a drink of water, and then sit to take a very meticulous bath.

It took them about 2 days to get used to each other. There was a little bit of hissing and growling, but now they do everything together! They play tag together, hide and seek together, and they love batting around the ball inside their toy…together!

For their first day, we kept them in the bathroom. Now they’re in the living room/family room/kitchen area. All the bedroom and office doors are closed. Every place is a place to explore and play…together!

They already both have a great taste for music…they climbed up on Jeff’s Beatles records to hang out!

And finally, after a hard morning of chasing each other and the ping pong balls, it was time for a nap…together!
