Virtual Book Tour Day #3

As a children’s writer, I feel doubly blessed to be married to Jeff. Not only is he an all around great guy, but he’s also an elementary teacher! And as a teacher, he always helps give an educator’s perspective to every book I write.

For today’s stop on my Virtual Book Tour, visit the site of Suzanne Lieurance. She’s helping me celebrate my children’s book, D is for Drinking Gourd: An African American Alphabet by giving info for teachers to use my book in the classroom.

I also want to invite you to participate in the fun contest here on my blog. I’m offering a prize that every book lover and every teacher will love: a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble! You can use this at your local store, for an online purchase, or on your Nook!

Just recommend my contest to a teacher today, then e-mail me at jeffandnancys@gmail.com to let me know you did this. You can give your own recommendation or copy and paste the following into an e-mail or teacher’s site:

Learn about a great kid’s book and join the contest to win a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Contest taking place at www.nancyisanders.wordpress.com!

When you e-mail me today, I’ll put your name in a hat. In the next two days, you’ll have even more opportunities to help spread the word about my book and get your name in the hat again to help increase your chances of winning. And then next Monday, here on my blog, I’ll post the name of the winner of the $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. It could be you!!!!!

So come on! Join in the fun! Help spread the word about the amazing men and women who helped build America by recommending my book to a teacher. And get your name in the hat to win a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble.

  2. Hi Nancy,

I love your photo! You guys look great together!

I know exactly what you mean. I teach as well at the elementary level part time and at the college level part time, and I get so many different perspectives on my writing and ideas for future writing.

I have really enjoyed your tour, both hosting you and following your posts every day.

    Hugs,
    Irene

  3. Thanks, Nancy and Irene for joining in on my tour! And it’s great you’ve got a teacher’s perspective in your writing, too, Irene. Happy writing to both of you!
